Did you know you can use Word to export a Password Protected PDF file?
Open your Word Document and when you are ready click the File Tab (top left)
Then select Export
Click Create PDF/XPS button on right
Name your file and select the location of where you will save it.
Click the Options... button and this dialogue should open...
Tick the checkbox entitled Encrypt the document with a password
Type in your password (twice to make sure you have typed it correctly)
Warning: DO NOT FORGET YOUR PASSWORD! - as you will not be able to open the PDF file without it.
Click the OK button.
Now you can test it - find the PDF file in the location you saved it and open it - you should be prompted for the password before you can view it.
